We celebrated Valentine’s Day this year with drinks, dinner, and some games! It was a great party!
Each group decorated one member with beautiful Valentine’s colors. Who do you think was the winner? All of the groups used their own creativity to beauty up their hula sisters. Mahalo for participating! May 2008 bring you lots of love!
今年のバレンタインデーには飲み物と食事でパーティーをしました。もちろんゲームもあったりしてとても楽しいひと時でした！それぞれのグループが一人を選抜しその人をバレンタイン色で飾りつけました。さて誰が勝ったでしょうか。それぞれのグループはとてもユニークでみんな綺麗なフラダンサーになってました。参加してくださったかたに感謝します。２００８年がみんなにとっていい年になりますように！
Marsha also showed her love for Hiromi and Noriko as they were given a limited edition Hulabootie necklace for their efforts with keiki classes. Mahalo Hiromi and Noriko!
ひろみさんとのりこさんにはMarshaからネックレスのプレゼントがありました。二人はMarshaのケイキのクラスの助っ人としてがんばってくれました。ひろみさん、のりこさん、本当にありがとう！

Ogo's BBQ party 2007 OgoのBBQパーティー２００７
On August 4, 2007, Ryoji put on a party that was da bomb! There was great food, entertainment and the party was a hit! Legend Martin Pahinui and Mark Yim opened the show with their talented slack key sounds, Hapa gave a magical performance, and Kalaeloa a new band with Taz and Les heated up the stage with their paniolo style falsetto. . Hulabootie was lucky enough to dance to their music and have our own 20 minute show. We danced, Green Rose, Maui Girl, Aoia, Little Grass Shack, Kaholoの Hula, Ulapalakua, Aloha I'a Waianae, Kauluwehi O ke Kai, and more! Can't wait until next year's party Ryoj---
2007年8月4日にOgoのオーナーリョージによりパーティーが開かれた。たくさんのおいしい料理があり、エンターテイメントがあり、もちろんパーティーは大成功！Martin PahinuiとMark Yimがショーをした。Hapaは演奏、KalaeloaのTazとLesがステージを盛り上げパニオロスタイルのファルセット。フラボーティーはとてもラッキーなことに彼らの演奏にあわせてフラを踊ることができ、20分間ものあいだショーをすることができました。来年のパーティーが待ち遠しい！

Hulabootie Holiday Luau 2006 フラブーティー ルアウ2006
We closed the year 2006 with a wonderful gathering at the old RBR. Lots of Keiki and Families joined in on the fun. We had catered Hawaiian food by Ogos (Mahalo Ryoji), Drinks, Dancing, and Games for the kids, and lots of Giveaways thanks to Men's Kitchen, Nike, Ogos, Angelux, Hulabootie Apparel, and Masami and Mie's Handmade goods.
2006年をRBRで締めくくったフラブーティー。ケイキをはじめたくさんのオハナ“家族”が参加くださいました。Ogoのケータリングでハワイ料理を堪能！飲み物をはじめフラダンス、ゲームをケイキが楽しみ、Men'sKitchenよりたくさんのものが配られました。Ogo,Angelux,Hulabootieのラインをはじめマサミとミエの手作りのものもありました。
We plan to do another holiday luau in 2007 (Nov or Dec), but are currently looking for a venue. Anyone have a good suggestion where we could hold a luau? Let me know if you do!
また2007年終わりにも同じようなルアウを開催します（11月か12月）。最新情報をお届けしますので乞うご期待！ただいま場所を探しております。いい場所があればお知らせください。
Tasha's Workshop ターシャのワークショップ
Tasha shared "Sophisticated Hula" and "Maunaleo" with us! "Sophisticated Hula" is a hapahaole hula that keiki and wahine enjoyed. "Maunaleo," is a beautiful song, with emotions of strength, beauty and love. "I think of my mother when I'm dancing this song," Tasha says. Understanding the meaning and feeling of the song is so important when expressing emotion in hula. The ladies made it look easy! Mahalo for teaching us this hula Tasha!
ターシャによりSophisticatedHulaとMaunaleoが行われました。SophisticatedHulaはケイキとワヒネが楽しみました。Maunaleoはとても素敵な１曲で強さを表現し、華麗で愛を歌います。ターシャはこの歌をするときは彼女の母を思い出すそうです。フラでもっとも重要なことは曲の内容と理解しいかに感情表現をするかです。ワヒナはその曲をいとも簡単にやってのけました！ターシャ、ありがとう！
10/20 Saturday PIZZA Party and OGO's
This is our DVD release party. We will have ono grinds and enjoy watching the finished and long awaited Oedo DVD. If you can, come to one or both of the scheduled parties. We are planning pizza party for keiki and families from 4:00pm and Hawaiian food by Ogos for the evening party!

Rinshi no Mori Koen
October 22, 2006, We have been invited to perform at Rinshi no Mori Park. There are matsuris happening all over Meguro Ku, and at the Rinshi no Mori park, there will be many performances and booths starting from 11:00am. If you can come to this event, please let me know!

June 9, 2006 we had an ono party at OGOs Ono-loa Food, in Akasaka. The food was grinds thanks to Ryoji and the music was jammin' thanks to Jimbo. We had live music for dance to and ono pig to grind! What a luxury! Avvie started the night off and danced Ulapalakua and Pearly Shells. Atsugi gals danced E Ho'i I ka pili. Yoyogi and Gakugei Booties danced Noho Pai Pai, Naka Pueo and Ku'u ipo I ka He'e Pu e'one. And the two hauli booties danced Little Grass Shack! Jimbo shook his bootie too! Nico and Avvie danced Donguri and Okii na Kuri and everyone went wild! And Natsu and Kazu also danced Pearly Shells!

RBR Party
June 10th, Saturday, we had a small show for friends and family. We had the opportunity to share what we've been working on in class. The show was fun! fun! and everyone tried their best. Pics soon to come!
Joy's Hula Workshop
What a great turn out! Joy was impressed with everyone's spirit and ability! With Eric's beautiful voice and everyone's shining smiles "Wahine Ilikea" came to life! Keiki did a wonderful job! Thanks for teaching us this beautiful hula Joy!

Joe's Ukulele Workshop
Joe's workshop was fun! Difficult but fun! After we learned the song. We played "Mapu Mau Keala" for hula dance!
ジョーのウクレレのワークショップでは皆楽しい時間を過ごしました。 簡単ではなかったけど、ウクレレ弾くのは楽しかった！ ワークショップの最後は、踊りに合わせて皆で習ったマプマウケアラを演奏しました。 気分はミュージシャン!

Marsha and Avvie's Party
マーシャとアビのバースディパーティーは皆の協力のお陰で大成功。 マーシャには内緒だったので、マーシャはお店に入ってビックリ！ パン、パン、パーン！！！というクラッカーの音と共に「HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!」
ケイキや、その他大勢の仲間が集まっての、パーティとなりました。
パーティのクライマックスには、やはりメレフラ!!! 皆で踊って盛り上がり、最後には時間が足りなくなるほど。。。
今回はケイキのレイラとサリーが頑張ってたくさん踊ってくれて、私達を楽しませてくれました。 そしてなんと、アビがフラダンスデビュー!?!? アビもしっかり、レイラとサリーに負けずおとらないフラを私達に披露してくれました。
マーシャ、誕生日おめでとう、そしていつも私達にフラダンスだけじゃなく、アロハスピリッツを教えてくれてありがとう。

Thank you for the great surprise party on Saturday! Avvie and I had a great time! The highlight of the evening was watching Sally, Reira and Avvie dance hula for everyone! Much Mahalo for all of the wonderful gifts. Thanks to Kenui for Onolicious food! Julie the cake was so yummy. Avvie's turning 2 on Thursday! I'm turing 33 on Monday! Time flies! Love all of you!
